Module2HighlightsofmyseniorYear教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)PartOneTeachingDesign教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明話題介紹本模塊主題是對(duì)學(xué)校生活進(jìn)行描述,介紹學(xué)校俱樂(lè)部以及課外活動(dòng)的形式和內(nèi)容,進(jìn)行中美文化的對(duì)比,進(jìn)一步增強(qiáng)學(xué)生對(duì)學(xué)校的熱愛(ài)。Period1ReadingINTRODUCTIONVocabularyandreading和READINGANDVOCABULARY合并為第一課時(shí)“閱讀課”?!癐ntroduction”了解美國(guó)中學(xué)學(xué)制、學(xué)習(xí)年限和學(xué)生的分段情況,接觸有關(guān)詞匯,聯(lián)系中國(guó)學(xué)制,展開(kāi)說(shuō)的活動(dòng)。課文“HighlightsofMySeniorYear”屬記敘文,學(xué)生課前自學(xué)、預(yù)習(xí)的基礎(chǔ)上,以背景介紹導(dǎo)入新課,然后采取“自上而下”的閱讀教學(xué)模式,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生關(guān)注文章的篇章結(jié)構(gòu)、段落大意,得出“樹(shù)型圖”,進(jìn)行“信息轉(zhuǎn)換”,理解全文、復(fù)述意義。教師還可以參考“教學(xué)資源”,幫助學(xué)生解決字、詞、句等方面的問(wèn)題。Period2Function第二課時(shí)FUNCTIONDescribinglocation是“功能課”,學(xué)習(xí)描述“觀點(diǎn)”。教學(xué)重點(diǎn)是句式“AsfarasI’mconcerned…,What’syourviewabout…,Inmyview…”用法。Period3Grammar課本P18GRAMMAR1Predicativeclausesandsubjectclauses和P21的Grammar2Subjectclauses合并為第三課時(shí)“語(yǔ)法課”,集中學(xué)習(xí)和演練Predicativeclausesandsubjectclauses。語(yǔ)法教學(xué)的方法不外乎“歸納法”、和“演繹法”。在外語(yǔ)教學(xué)環(huán)境中,一般采用演繹法。Period4Writing課本P24的“Writing”為“寫(xiě)作課”,學(xué)習(xí)writingaboutyouridealseniorhighschoollife。引導(dǎo)學(xué)生用對(duì)話形式演繹閱讀課課文,然后模仿其語(yǔ)篇結(jié)構(gòu)、盡量運(yùn)用課文中學(xué)到的詞語(yǔ)、結(jié)構(gòu)和話題模式,介紹自己的理想高中生活。Period5Speaking課本P24的“SPEAKING”和“EVERYDAYENGLISH”為“口語(yǔ)課”。利用我們提供的材料,使用“演繹法”教學(xué)“反意疑問(wèn)句”,然后模仿課文模式,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生小組談?wù)撝袊?guó)學(xué)制、學(xué)校生活和美國(guó)中學(xué)學(xué)制、學(xué)校生活進(jìn)行比較全面的對(duì)比,鼓勵(lì)不同意見(jiàn),允許爭(zhēng)論。Period6CulturalCorner了解美國(guó)和中國(guó)的啦啦隊(duì)的情況?!拔幕喿x課”和“閱讀課”的區(qū)別是:前者注重意義閱讀,后者注重技能閱讀。Period7Task課本P28的TASK是“任務(wù)課”,對(duì)本模塊的詞語(yǔ)、語(yǔ)法、功能和日常英語(yǔ)進(jìn)行總結(jié)和歸納,是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自我總結(jié)、自我反思等學(xué)習(xí)策略的重要形式。學(xué)生可在時(shí)間精力允許的情況下,利用閱覽室和多媒體,做一些有關(guān)美國(guó)學(xué)校生活和拉拉隊(duì)活動(dòng)等方面的課外閱讀和了解,擴(kuò)大視野,鞏固增加詞匯量和語(yǔ)言結(jié)構(gòu)。Period1Reading--HighlightsofMySeniorYearI.GoalsTolearntoreadpassageswithpredicativeclausesandsubjectclausesaboutmyhighlightsTolearntoreadwithstrategies.II.ProceduresStep1WarmingupbylearningabouttheAmericansecondaryschoolsystemSimilartoChina,theAmericansecondaryschoolsystemalsocontainstwoparts:middleschoolandseniorhighschool.ButunlikeChina,theyhave3yearsinmiddleschooland4yearsinseniorhighschool,whilewejusttheoppositeandtheirafter-schoollifeismorecolorfulthaninChina.After-schoolactivitiesareaveryimportantpartforAmericanstudents.Forthem,thedevelopmentofsocialskillsisconsideredasimportantasthedevelopmentofintellectualskills.Tohelpstudentsdeveloptheirsocialskills,schoolsofferalargenumberofafter-schoolactivitiesanddifferentsportsclubs.Todecidewhichstudentstoaccept,employersandcollegeslookforstudentswhohaveseveralareas.Examgradesareveryimportant,butsoaretheafter-schoolactivities.Bytakingpartintheseactivities,studentsshowtheirspecialtalents,theirabilitytolead,andtheirabilitytogetonwithothers.PromsareimportantforAmericangirls.It’spopularthatAmericangirlsstartthinkingaboutpromnight,monthsbeforetheactualevent.Theyplantheirclothesanddiscusswheretheyaregoingtobuytheirdress,whichshouldbelongandveryelegant.It’simportantthatagirllooksasgoodasshecan.Ifshecanaffordit,shewillprobablyhaveherhairspeciallydone.Ifagirlknowsshelooksprettyonthenight,sheisalmostsuretohaveagoodtime.Step2BeforeyoureadPleasegooverthewordlistforthismodule,payingattentiontothepronunciationofthewords,therelationshipbetweenitspronunciationanditsspelling.Step3WhileyoureadCut/thesentencesintothoughtgroups,blackenthepredicates,underlinetheusefulexpressionsanddarkentheconnectives.Step4Afteryouread1.CopyalltheusefulexpressionsintoyourExpressionBook.Ifpossible,makeyourownsentenceswiththeseexpressions.UsefulexpressionsfromHighlightsofMySeniorYearpromnight,highschooldiploma,too…to,itseemsstrangethat...,findoneselfdoing...,bearealsuccess,haveproblemswith,workasapeermediator,it’sclearthat...,duringtheEastervacation,thestudentcouncil,havegreatfun,suitsomebodyperfectly,beworthit,it’sapitythat…,watchthesunriseovertheseaSentencesmadewithexpressionsfromModule2(1)WhoareyoutakingtotheSeniorProm?(2)Usuallythehigherdiplomaonehas,themoreopportunitiesonewillhave.(3)I’mafraidtheboxistooheavyforyoutocarryit(4)ItseemsstrangethatAmericanstudentscanjoinsomanyclubs.(5)Whenshewokeup,shefoundherselflyinginbed,withherparentsandclassmatesaroundher.(6)Theseniorpromwasarealsuccessforme.(7)WhenIhaveproblemswithJohn,Maryalwaysworksasthepeermediator,andwesoonmakeup.(8)It’sclearthatneitherofthemhasforgottenthepowerfulemotions.(9)Ioftengoonatripduringthesummervacation.(10)I’vebeenhopingtobeelectedtothestudentcouncil.(11)ThechildrenhavegreatfunwatchingOliverTwist.(12)Iboughtadressthatsuitedmeperfectlyandhadmyhairspeciallydone.(13)Agoodmotherisworthahundredschoolmasters.(14)It’sapitythatIhaveneverstudiedNCE(新概念英語(yǔ)),soIdon’tsayanythingaboutit.(15)IshallalwaysrememberwatchingthesunsetdownthemountainwithDanielthatevening.2.DrawingadiagramofthetexttoshowitsorganizationHighlightsofMySeniorYearOneofthebestthingsaboutthisyearhasbeenworkingasanartseditorforthisnewspap
