V-ing形式可以單獨(dú)充當(dāng)名詞的前置修飾語,這時有兩種情況。-ing形式表示作用，功能“供作......之用”的意思,這類作定語的-ing形式。e.g.asleepingcar=acarforsleeping2)-ing形式表示正在進(jìn)行的動作，“......的”意思

e.g.asleepingchildworkingpeopletherisingsun-ing形式短語作定語時一般放在它所修飾的名詞之后,相當(dāng)于一個定語從句。

e.g.Theyarevisitorscomingfromseveralcountries.Theboystandingthereisaclassmateofmine.語態(tài)時態(tài)主動語態(tài)被動語態(tài)一般式完成式(not)doing(not)beingdone(not)havingdone(not)havingbeendoneV-ing形式【觀察】

為強(qiáng)調(diào)-ing形式所表達(dá)的意義，在-ing形式短語前可用連詞、介詞或副詞?！簟皐hen/while+-ing形式”強(qiáng)調(diào)-ing形式與謂語動詞的動作同時發(fā)生。（如例句7）◆“before+-ing形式”強(qiáng)調(diào)-ing形式在謂語動詞所表示的動作之后發(fā)生。（如例句8）◆“after+動詞的-ing形式”強(qiáng)調(diào)-ing形式在謂語動詞所表示的動作之前發(fā)生。（如例句9）◆“on/upon+-ing形式”表示“一（剛）……就……”。（如例句10）◆“thus+-ing形式”表示結(jié)果。（如例句11）◆“though/although+-ing形式”表示讓步。（如例句12）但表示原因的As,Because不能放在V-ing在前面

動詞的-ing形式的否定形式動詞的-ing形式的否定形式為“not+-ing形式”。Ihaveacceptedthis,notwantingto

Attention-ing形式作狀語時,它的邏輯主語必須與主句的主語是一致的。e.g.Timepermitting,Iwillpayavisittothewholecity.

(分詞的邏輯主語是time,而句子的主語是I,兩者不構(gòu)成主謂關(guān)系,所以只能用獨(dú)立主格結(jié)構(gòu),也就是給現(xiàn)在分詞補(bǔ)充一個主語。)e.g.Iwaitingforthebus,abirdfellonmyheard.我等汽車時，一只鳥落到我頭上。Alltheticketshavingbeensoldout,theywentawaydisappointedly.所有的票已經(jīng)賣光了，他們失望地離開了。Timepermitting,we’lldoanothertwoexercises.如果時間允許，我們將做另兩個練習(xí)。有時也可用with(without)+名詞（代詞賓格）+分詞形式e.g.
