OGFC路面降噪特性研究
Abstract
Withtherapiddevelopmentoftransportationinfrastructure,roadtrafficnoisepollutionhasbecomeanincreasinglysignificantsocialissue.Inresponse,researchershavedevelopedvarioussolutionstoaddressthisissue,oneofwhichistheuseofOpenGradedFrictionCourse(OGFC)pavement.ThisstudyaimstoexplorethenoisereductionpropertiesofOGFCpavementsandtheirimpactonthesurroundingenvironment.Basedonpreviousresearchstudies,itisfoundthatOGFCpavementhasseveraladvantages,includinglownoiselevelsandincreasedskidresistance.However,somechallenges,suchasreduceddurabilityandincreasedsusceptibilitytopotholes,muststillbeaddressedthroughfurtherresearchandimprovement.
Introduction
Roadtrafficnoisepollutionisasignificantissueaffectingurbanareasworldwide,causingserioushealthandenvironmentalproblems.TheWorldHealthOrganization(WHO)hasidentifiedtrafficnoiseasthesecondleadingenvironmentalcauseofhealthproblems,leadingtosleepdisturbance,cardiovasculardisease,anddecreasedcognitiveability(WHO,2011).Inresponse,researchershaveexploredvarioussolutionstoreduceroadtrafficnoise,includingtheuseofnoisebarriers,reducedspeedlimits,andquietertires.OnepromisingsolutionistheuseofOpenGradedFrictionCourse(OGFC)pavement.
OGFCpavementisatypeofasphaltpavingthatcontainsathinlayerofcoarseaggregatesandanopentexture.Unliketraditionaldense-gradedasphaltpavements,OGFCpavementisdesignedtoallowwatertodrainthroughthepavementandintothesubbaselayerbeneath.Thisdesignreducestheamountofsplashandspraythatoccursduringrainfall,leadingtoareductioninnoiselevels.Additionally,theopentextureofOGFCpavementprovidesincreasedroadskidresistance,improvingsafetyfordrivers.
LiteratureReview
StudieshaveshownthatOGFCpavementinurbanareascanreduceroadtrafficnoiselevelsby3–5dB(Kuoetal.,2010).Thesenoisereductionsaresignificantandcanimprovethequalityoflifeforindividualslivingnearbusyroads.However,theeffectivenessofOGFCpavementisdependentonmultiplefactors,includingthepavement'sdesign,materials,andplacement.
OnestudyconductedbyKwonandKim(2018)foundthatthetexturedepthofOGFCpavementsignificantlyimpactsnoisereductionperformance.Apavementwithatexturedepthof4.0mmshowedthebestnoisereductionperformance,reducingnoiselevelsby4.2dBcomparedtotraditionaldense-gradedpavement.Additionally,thestudyfoundthatthepavement'sporosityandaggregatesizehadaminorimpactonnoisereductionperformance.
AnotherstudyconductedbyWuetal.(2018)comparedthenoisereductionperformanceofOGFCpavementwithtraditionalpavementonhighwaysinTaiwan.TheresultsshowedthatOGFCpavementreducednoiselevelsby3.5dB,whiletraditionalpavementreducednoiselevelsbyonly2.6dB.TheauthorsconcludedthatOGFCpavementisaneffectivesolutionforreducingtrafficnoise,particularlyinurbanareas.
WhileOGFCpavementshowspromiseinreducingroadtrafficnoise,thereareseveralpotentialchallengesthatmustbeaddressed.First,duetoitsopentexture,OGFCpavementismoresusceptibletopotholesandothertypesofpavementdamage.Second,OGFCpavementhasashorterlifespanthantraditionalpavement,requiringmorefrequentmaintenanceandrepair.Finally,OGFCpavementmayhavehigherinitialconstructioncoststhantraditionalpavement,makingitlessfeasibleforsomemunicipalities.
Conclusion
Inconclusion,OGFCpavementisaneffectivesolutionforreducingroadtrafficnoisepollutioninurbanareas.MultiplestudieshaveshownthatOGFCpavementcanreducenoiselevelsby3–5dB,significantlyimprovingthequalityoflifeforindividualslivingnearbusyroads.However,severalchallenges,suchasreduceddurabilityandincreasedsusceptibilitytopotholes,muststillbeaddressedthroughfurtherresearchandimprovement.Withcontinueddevelopmentandimprovement,OGFCpavementcanbecomeavitaltoolinreducingroadtrafficnoisepollutionandimprovingthehealthandwell-beingofindividualslivinginurbanareas.
