一、wouldlike的基本用法

短語wouldlike用來表達意愿,意為“想要、愿意”,和want意思接近,但比want語氣委婉、客氣。其后可

接名詞、代詞賓格或動詞不定式。其中,would是情態(tài)動詞,??煽s寫為,d。如:

二、wouldlike的固定句型

1.Wouldyoulikesome…?你想要一些..嗎?

該句型常用于征求對方的意見??隙ɑ卮鸪S谩癥es,please.”,而否定回答常用“No,thanks.”需要特別注意的是,

在該句型中要用some,而不用any,以表示說話人希望得到肯定回答。如:

該句型表示向對方有禮貌地提出建議或發(fā)出邀請,其中l(wèi)ike可用love替換。如:

三、情態(tài)動詞will和would

would表示說話人的意愿或請求時,語氣比will委婉、客氣。但要注意否定結構中常用will,一般不用would。

Won?tyou是一種委婉語氣。如:

1.sinceprep.從..以來;自從

指點迷津:since與for

(1)since用來指時間點,意指“從那時起到所指的時刻”。它常常和現(xiàn)在完成時連用。

HehasbeenheresinceMonday.從星期一開始,他一直在這里。(從星期一到現(xiàn)在)

since也可以是時間連詞,后接一個表示時間點的時間狀語從句。

Hehasworkedforuseversinceheleftschool.他離開學校以后就一直為我們工作。

IthasbeentwoyearssinceIlastsawTom.從我最后一次見湯姆到現(xiàn)在,已經(jīng)有兩年了。

相當于:IlastsawTomtwoyearsago.我最后一次見湯姆是在兩年前。

Ihaven'tseenTomfortwoyears.我已經(jīng)有兩年沒見過湯姆了。

(2)for用來表示一段時間。如:forsixyears六年之久,fortwomonths有兩個月。

for十一段時間也可以與現(xiàn)在完成時連用,表示動作延續(xù)到說話的那一時刻。

Hehasworkedhereforayear.他在這里工作已經(jīng)有一年了。(一年前他就開始在這里工作并仍在這里工作。)

此時的“for十一段時間”也可以用“since+行動開始的那一刻”來代替。

2.quiteadv.相當;十分

Annisquitepretty.安長得很漂亮。

任旨點迷津:fairly,quite,rather,pretty與very

⑴這幾個副詞都可表示程度,fairly語氣最輕,盡管經(jīng)常與褒義詞連用,但由于語氣較弱,往往不帶明顯的恭

維或贊賞,通常譯為“還算;相當"。比如說某部電影fairlygood,指的可能是勉強過得去。

(2)quite語氣稍重,意為“頗;相當”。比如說某部電影quitegood,指的是這部電影相當不錯,雖不是最好,

但至少值得看。

(3)rather或pretty在語氣上又稍重一點,意為“十分,相當",但pretty不如rather正式。比如說某部電影

rather/prettygood,指的是這部電影相當不錯,語氣比較重,意指要高出一般水平或出乎意料的好。兩者均可

與褒義或貶義形容詞連用。與褒義詞連用,表示一種愉快的心情;與貶義或中性詞連用,表示一種不贊成或

不滿意的心情。

(4)very語氣最強,意為“很;非?!?。比如說某部電影verygood,指的是這部電影很不錯,算得上是精品之作。

以上幾個副詞按語氣的輕重排序是:fairly—quite—rather/pretty—very。
