涉及現(xiàn)在時(shí)間的虛擬條件:即從句所涉及的內(nèi)容與現(xiàn)在的事實(shí)不符,此時(shí)從句的謂語用一般過去時(shí),而主句謂語用“would+動(dòng)詞原形”(當(dāng)然根據(jù)情況也可用should,might,could)。如:IfIweretaller,Iwouldbecomeapoliceman.
如果我個(gè)子再高一點(diǎn),我就當(dāng)警察了。(所表示的實(shí)際情況是:我的個(gè)子不夠高,所以不能當(dāng)警察)(2)
涉及將來時(shí)間的虛擬條件:即從句所涉及的內(nèi)容與將來事實(shí)不符,此時(shí)從句的謂語有三種形式,一般過去時(shí)(be通用were)或用should+動(dòng)詞原形,或用wereto+動(dòng)詞原形),而主句謂語用“would+動(dòng)詞原形”(當(dāng)然根據(jù)情況也可用should,might,could)。如:Ifitrainedtomorrow,we’dstayathome.
