He smiled and told me I would receive an extra thousand pounds a year!,直接引語和間接引語Direct Speech and Indirect Speech,直接引述別人的話，叫“直接引語”; 用自己的話轉(zhuǎn)述別人的話叫“間接引語”; 直接引語一般前后要加引號; 間接引語不用引號。,如: John said, “I like reading very much.” John said that

10、he liked reading very much.,把直接引語變?yōu)殚g接引語時，可用動詞say, tell,后面可跟人名或者代詞，然后以that引導(dǎo)出意思。在動詞say后，that可省略。 在轉(zhuǎn)變時，有幾點需要注意：,1.時態(tài)1）如果引語的引述動詞是現(xiàn)在時,將來時或現(xiàn)在完成時,我們一般要用說話者原話中所用的時態(tài).,Ive already said, “I dont want to go.” = Ive already said that I dont want to go.,2）如果引述動詞是過去時, 引語應(yīng)該作相應(yīng)的變化.,a) 一般現(xiàn)在時改為一般過去時： “I never work on

11、 Sundays,” she said.,= She said that she never worked on Sundays.,b) 現(xiàn)在進行時改為過去進行時： “It isnt raining,” she told me.,= She told me that it wasnt raining.,c) 一般將來時改為過去將來時： “ Ill tell you a very funny story,” she said.,= She said that she would tell me a very funny story.,d) 現(xiàn)在完成時改為過去完成時： “I have just h

12、eard the news,” he said.,= he said that he had just heard the news.,e) 一般過去時改為過去完成時： “I broke the window,” Tom said.,= Tom said that he had broken the window.,2.直接引語改為間接引語時， 人稱代詞和物主形容詞應(yīng)該作適當(dāng)?shù)淖兓?。地點和時間狀語也應(yīng)作相應(yīng)改變。,代詞及狀語的變化： this - that these- those now - then here - there ago - before tomorrow - the foll
