1、Period 5 SpeakingThe General Idea of This Period:This period aims at getting the students express themselves what they think of some kinds of music and musicians.Teaching Aim:Enable the students to express what they think of some kind of music and some musicians.Teaching Important and Difficult Poin
2、ts:1.How to express their feelings towards different kinds of music.2.How to express their dislikes or likes.Teaching Methods:1.Group work to practise speaking.2.Task-based activity.Teaching Aid:A projector,some slides and a multi media computer.Teaching Procedures:Step 1 RevisionCheck students appl
3、ication form for Inter-school music festival.Interview different groups to see who play what instrument and who sing.Step 2 Warming up:Task one:Choose a managerSuppose the students now have been admitted to take part in the Music Festival.They get a big hit in the festival and their performances are
4、 enjoyed by many people.Then they get the reward successfully.Now,they have to find a manager to handle their business.Ask them to choose one person to be their manager.They are also needed to tell the reason why they would like him/her to be the manager for their band.T:So you have been admitted to
5、 take part in the Music Festival.Then what you need now is a good and trusted manager.Who would you like to be your manager?S1:I would choose my good friendLily as our bands manager.Because she is patient and considerate,she can organize our performance well.S2:I would prefer my mother to be the man
