City is listed as a “priority” for urbanization and financial funding from the central government, hence such “150-day” policiesFirst “pilot” city where foreign currencies can be exchanged freely. 3、anding manufacturing/service industries and in new tourism offerings. City center and Binhai will be main focus areas for financial exchange and knowledge capital resource investment. In previous years, Tianjin has been fueled in its modernization process through a manufacturing-based approachwhich
4、has mostly been a horizontal process. Labor intensiveless knowledge intensive / less market sophistication. In recent years, Tianjins service industry has matured and has been leaping forward away from its traditional model. With a growing vertical model, market demand has become more sophisticated:
5、 higher-educated/salaried residents, foreign expats, and tourists all looking for “amenity-based” lifestyles and offerings. Over time the emphasis in the area has been towards the growth of modern service-related industries in the area. The site w
7、as also the former part of the British Concession, evident still in some of its architecture and urban organization, many of which is still preserved unlike other concession areas in the city and in metropolitan areas such as Beijing and Shanghai Wudadao is approximately 125 hectares in area The Juk
8、e Maodi site, including Huang Garden is approximately 19 hectares The site has a prominent Nanjing Road address along its southern edge, a major boulevard and linear commercial corridor in the city. The site encompasses three of the 6 boulevards which define the Wudadao quarter, and the Xin Hua arte
9、rial road running north/south. The site falls within an 8-10 minute walking distance from two important CBD and metro junctions. The stretch between the two junctions along Nanjing Road is considered one of the most “fertile” areas, currently experiencing an aggressive amount of development. The sit
10、e is an important midpoint along Nanjing Road and the two CBD areas. Opportunity as the north gateway into Wudadao along the northern boulevard, similar to the gateway in the south. From an 8-10 minute walk, the area falls within some of the most prominent schools, hotels, offices, etc. in the city.
