5、n maleficence (doing no harm) Researchers should be clear about :Potential benefits to participants- these should be made clear before any research is started .AND 2. What they will do to minimise harm Non Maleficence doing no harm Researchers must be clear about any potential risks or harm that can

6、 happen to participants from the direct research .In quantitative / medical research this may relate to side effects , panful dressing changes etc. In qualitative research- potential harm could be from psychological stresses .Consider these questions when looking at research studies Is the aim of th

7、e research clear?What sort of ethical information was sought and is it this stated?What information were participants given and was consent checked ?Did participants have the right to withdraw ?Is there a hint of coercion ?What were the benefits of taking part ? And what were the potential areas of
