WHATISTHECORRUGATED（什么是瓦楞紙）

Corrugatedfiberboardor"combinedboard"hastwomaincomponents:theliner(面紙）andthemedium(芯紙).Botharemadeofaspecialkindofheavypapercalledcontainerboard(箱板紙).

Linerboard(瓦楞紙箱外層的高強(qiáng)箱板紙)istheflatfacingthatadherestothemedium.Themediumisthewavy,flutedpaper(楞紙)inbetweentheliners.

COMMONBOARDSTYLES常用紙板的種類

A、SingleFace:Onemediumisgluedtooneflatsheetoflinerboard.

單面紙板：一層芯紙粘接在一層平面箱板紙上。

B、SingleWall:Themediumisbetweentwosheetsoflinerboard.AlsoknownasDoubleFace.

單瓦楞紙板：芯紙粘在二層箱板紙之間，也被稱為雙層紙板。

C、DoubleWall:Threesheetsoflinerboardwithtwomediumsinbetween.

雙瓦楞紙板：二層芯紙夾在三層面紙之間。（在中國(guó)又被稱為五層瓦楞紙板）

D、TripleWall:Foursheetsoflinerboardwiththreemediumsinbetween.

三瓦楞紙板：三層芯紙夾在四層面紙之間。（在中國(guó)又被稱為7層瓦楞紙板）

Flutes楞形

Architectshaveknownforthousandsofyearsthatanarch（拱）withthepropercurve（曲線）isthestrongestwaytospanagivenspace（跨越一個(gè)給定的空間）.Theinventorsofcorrugatedfiberboardappliedthissameprincipletopaperwhentheyputarchesinthecorrugatedmedium（瓦楞芯紙）.Thesearchesareknownasflutes（楞）andwhenanchoredtothelinerboardwithadhesive,theyresistbendingandpressurefromalldirections.

Whenapieceofcombinedboardisplacedonitsend,thearchesformrigidcolumns,capableofsupportingagreatdealofweight.Whenpressureisappliedtothesideoftheboard,thespaceinbetweentheflutesactsasacushion（墊子）toprotectthecontainer'scontents.Theflutesalsoserveasaninsulator(絕緣體,絕熱器,保溫層）,providingsomeproductprotectionfromsuddentemperaturechanges.Atthesametime,theverticallinerboardprovidesevenmorestrengthandprotectstheflutesfromdamage.

Flutescomeinseveralstandardshapesorfluteprofiles(A,B,C,E,F,etc.).A-flute（A楞）wasthefirsttobedeveloped.B-flutewasthenextandismuchsmallerthanA-flute.C-flutefollowedandisbetweenAandBinsize.Itisalsothemostcommonlargefluteprofile.E-fluteissmallerthanBandF-fluteissmalleryet.Duetovariancesinflutesizesbetweenmanufacturers,FBAnolongerpublishesfluteguidelines.
