Wewillusetheactivestudyandcooperativestudy.Wholeclasswork,groupwork,pairworkallwillbeincludedinmyclass.

Step1Warming-upandLeadin

I’llsayhellotomystudentsandleadthemtosingasonganddosome“shaking”actions.Justlikethis:

Then,playthe“magicbox”gamewithinthehelpofpictures.Studentswilltrytoguesswhat’sinthepictures.

Purpose:Itrytomaketheclassactivebysingingatfirst.Inthisway,Inotonlycreateaharmoniousteachingatmosphere,butalsonarrowthedistancebetweentheteacherandthestudents.Duringthegame,thestudentspreviewthecontentthatwillbelearnedinthisclassandmakeafoundationforthecomingteachingprocedure.

Purpose:Idesignthisinterestingactivitytomakethestudentsclearabouttheexactmeaningsofthesewords.Meanwhile,askingthemtoreadthewords,Iremindthestudentsofwords’pronunciationandsetgamestodeepentheimpressionofthenewwords.

First,Showthedialogueandaskthestudentstolistentothetape.Thedialoguegivesthemanexamplehowtodescribetheirownhome.

Thenaskthestudentsthequestion:“Look,ThisisAmy’shome.WecanseeAmyisinthestudy,right?So,whereisAmy?Issheinthelivingroom?”Havesomestudentsanswerthequestionswiththenewwords.

Furthermore,wewillplay“sentencedragon”topracticethesentencepatternthroughAskandAnswer.Thewinnercangetonestar.

Finally,playthetapeagain.LetthemworkinpairstofinishLet’sdopartandgivethem5minutestomakeanewdialoguebasedonthedialoguewejustlearned,asksomepairstoshareit.
