23、 很多情況下, 我 可以依靠數(shù)的 法 )來判斷英 名 是否可數(shù)。 比如,book,table 都是可數(shù)名 而water 是不可數(shù)名 。一般來 ,在英 中物 名 和抽象名 都是不可數(shù)名 ,如flour, rice, beauty, pleasure, money等。學(xué) 名 必 區(qū)分其是否可數(shù) 前才可以使用數(shù) 和不定冠 。 得注意的是,有 同一個(gè) 所指不同,其數(shù)的概念也就不同。例如,paper 作“ ”第 6頁共 8頁解時(shí)為不可數(shù)名詞,表示 “報(bào)紙 ”和“試卷 ”時(shí)是可數(shù)名詞; fish 指“魚肉 ”時(shí)是不可數(shù)名詞,表示 “魚”時(shí)是可數(shù)名詞, 只不過通常是單復(fù)數(shù)同形; coffee 做 “咖啡 ”

24、解時(shí)是不可數(shù)名詞,表示 “一杯咖啡 ”時(shí)是可數(shù)名詞。2. 名詞的數(shù)對于可數(shù)名詞數(shù)的變規(guī)則變化, 即名詞后面加 -s 或者 -es的情況;二要掌握不規(guī)則變化,包括 man-men, woman-women, foot-feet, tooth-teeth, mouse-mice, child -children 等;三要掌握單復(fù)數(shù)同形的單詞,如 sheep 等。除此之外,還應(yīng)注意以下幾點(diǎn): 21 世紀(jì)教育網(wǎng)版權(quán)所有1) 在一般情況下,復(fù)合名式體現(xiàn)在最后一個(gè)名詞上,如 a pencil box-pencil boxes, a girl student-girl students。但是如果是由 man

25、 或 woman 構(gòu)成的復(fù)合名詞,如 a man doctor, a woman teacher,其復(fù)數(shù)形式則為 men doctors, womenteachers。2) 有些名詞往往以復(fù)數(shù)形式出 users, glasses(眼鏡 ),在表示數(shù)量時(shí)需要借助量詞,如 a pair of trousers, three pairs of trousers。3) 有些名詞表往往作為一個(gè)整體看待,如police, people。這些單詞沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式。但是其后面的謂語動詞卻多為復(fù)數(shù)形式。例如: The police have caught the thief. Many people have seen the film. 如果要表達(dá)單個(gè)數(shù)量
