Unit4 Dont eat in class.1.Status and FunctionIn this unit students learn to talk about school and family rules.Such a topic is so familiar to students that they must be active in all the activities in class.It is helpful to raise learning interest and useful to improve students listening,speaking,reading and writing skills.2.Teaching Aims and Demands(1)Knowledge ObjectsIn this unit students learn to talk about rules.Make students learn and grasp imperatives and the usage of the words “can” and “have to”.(2)Ability ObjectsTrain students listening,speaking,reading and writing skills.Train students integrating skills.(3)Moral ObjectAs students,we must obey school rules.3.Teaching Key PointsLearn the key vocabulary and the target language. Learn the imperatives and the words “can” .4.Teaching DifficultiesImperatives. Dont do.Period 1 (Section A: 1a-2C)Step 1 Lead-in Please watch a clip of a French movieles Choristes, and talk about the things they cant do in class. Think about theses questions while watching the clip. Are the students good with the new teacher? Why? What things cant the students do in class?Step 2 PresentationThe students watch the pictures and learn the new words and phrases one by one.smoke/smk/fight/fait/打架 fight with sbCan they smoke in class? -Dont smoke Can they fight with their classmates?-Dont fight .Can he draw on the blackboard? -Dont draw .dining /dan/ hall /hl/ 餐廳 Can we eat in class? -Dont eat in class.be late for class = arrive(到達(dá)) late for class Dont arrive late for class.Dont run in the hallways.Dont listen to music in class.Dont wear a hat in class.Dont sleep in class. We must listen to the teachers.Step 3 Exercise 1aSCHOOL RULES1. Dont arrive late for class. You must be on time. 2. Dont run in the hallways.3. Dont eat in the classroom. You must eat in the dining hall.4. Dont listen to music in the classrooms or the hallways.5. Dont fight.Step 4 ListeningWhat rules are these students breaking? Write the numbers after the names.Step 5 Group work Work in groups to pratice the sentence patterns : Dont . Suppose One or two student broke one of the school rules(假定小組內(nèi)一個或 兩個同學(xué)破壞校規(guī)), he/she does the action(做動作), the others say out which rules he/she broke. Do it in this way one by one. Step 6 Listening 2Listen. Check the activities Alanand Cindy talk about.Listen again 2b and fill in the blanks.Cindy is telling Alan the school rules:We_ listen to music in the classroom or_. Rules are importantWe must follow the rules.Dont break the rules.Although rules are important in our daily life, I think the most important thing is to learn to love the people and things around you. Love your school.Love your family.Love your teachers and your classmates.Step9.Homework 1. Remember the phrases and the school rules. 2.Write about your family rules(家規(guī)). You can use the imperative sentences (祈使句否定)Dont .or I cant . At least 6 sentences
