4、s usual.本篇文章Bamboo是一篇典型的知識性說明文,但難度不是很高,非常適合精讀課文。它首先說明竹是什么,從而消除人們的誤解;然后介紹了竹子的種類,形態(tài)特點,生長特性;第三部分著重工業(yè)、農業(yè)、生活三方面介紹了竹子的用途,同時這部分也是文章的重點。要求學生閱讀時,對Margin Notes中的問題進行思考。重點在于根據語境和圖畫猜測詞義。Step 2 處理Getting Ready中的第3項1) 鼓勵學生想象出“竹”在生活中的利用。2) 給學生限定的時間,要求學生“略讀”,找出文中所介紹的用途。3) 請同學把竹的用途進行歸類,并闡述理由。4) 迅速訂正,簡要說明原因。Step 3處理C
5、omprehending中的第1項1) 教師引導全體學生把所給出的8個句子先理解一邊,看是否有困難。2) 讓學生在限定的時間內閱讀,并判斷8個句子的正誤。老師注意掌握整個閱讀過程,注意及時幫助有困難的學生。3) 檢驗學生的閱讀效果,如有錯誤,組織全體同學指出并糾正。Step 4處理Comprehending中的第3項1) 學生在老師的指導下先觀察Comprehending中第二項中的內容,提示左邊黑體字的含義,進而學生指導該怎樣做。2) 學生運用“跳讀”的方法找到答案,完成填空。3) 教師控制整個閱讀過程,觀察并及時提供幫助。4) 檢查效果引導學生歸納得出結論,即文章分為三部分:是什么,種類,
6、用途。Step 5處理Comprehending中的第3項1) 小組或同桌討論,在第二項活動的基礎上,再回到文中去找答案。2) 教師注意控制教室氣氛,適當提示有困難的學生。3) 檢驗效果,訂正答案。Step 6 處理Comprehending中的第4項第1小題學生獨立思考完成第一小題,并寫在作業(yè)本上。Step 7處理Comprehending 中的第4想第2,3小題1) 采取二人或多人討論完成第二小題,鼓勵有想象力的答案,口頭表達。2) 讓學生課后閱讀資料,討論完成,對于學生的答案,要求其有充足的理由。Periods 3-4Language points in ReadingStep1 Gte

8、.The taxi taking (= which took) us to the airport broke down.載我們去機場的出租車拋錨了。Can you think of the name of a flower beginning (= which begins) with “t” ?你能想到“t”開頭的花名嗎?*擴展 v-ed, to do也能作后置定語,但意義有所不同:1)v-ed作后置定語,強調與其修飾的名詞之間存在的被動關系(動賓關系)或表達完成意義。The experience gained ( which has been gained) will be of gre

13、葉在風中搖擺,就好像伸出纖細的手指去觸摸什么。此句中that sway in the wind like為定語從句,修飾leaves, reaching to touch something 為現(xiàn)在分詞短語后置作定語,修飾fingers, 相當于定語從句 thatwhich reach to touch something.4. Not all bamboo grows tall.并不是所有的竹子長得都很高。此句所表達的意義是部分否定。結構為not all= all not 可譯為“并非。都?!盢ot all of them went to see the film last night.昨晚
14、不是所有的人都去看了電影。= All of them did not go to see the film last night.Im not always at home on Sunday.我并非所有的星期天都在家。*歸納:部分否定和全部否定的表達方式:部分否定:在被否定的詞前面加not或在謂語動詞前加notAll that glitters is not gold.閃光的東西并非都是金子。Not many things are of use in the form in which they found.許多東西并非在塔門處于被發(fā)現(xiàn)的形式時就是有用的。全部否定:none of, neit

But the most interesting thing about this remarkable plant is what people do with it after it is cut down.這種不可思議的植物最讓人感興趣的還在于人們把它們砍到之后對它的處置和利用。what 引導的表語從句。表語從句的連詞與賓語從句的連詞相似,由三類構成:that, wether,or when
22、, what等特殊疑問詞。此句的表語從句中動詞do 后缺少表物的賓語,故用連詞what引導。The question is whether they will come and when they will come.問題是它們是否會來,什么時候來。He came late again. The reason was that he overslept and missed the school bus.他又遲到了。原因是他睡過了頭,錯過了校車。do with sth 表示“處理,對付”相當于deal with sth 但是do with往往與what 連用,而deal with 往往與how

They are hallow, which makes them very light.竹竿是中空的,這使得它很輕巧。which 引導的非限定性定語從句,既能對前句中的名詞進行補充,也能說明前面整
24、個句子。She heard a terrible noise, which brought her heart into her mouth.她聽到一個恐怖的聲音,嚇得心臟都快跳到嘴里了。The weather turned out to be very good, which was more than we could expect.結果天氣很好,這超出了我們的預料。*辨析:which 和 as 都能引導非限定性定語從句,二者用法如下1) 當主句和從句的語義一致時用as,反之用whichHe made a long speech, as was expected.他做了冗長的演講,這一點大
25、家都料到了。He made a long speech, which was unexpected.他做了冗長的演講,這出乎大家的意料。2) 當非限定性定語從句為否定句時,常用which 引導Tom drinks a lot every day, which his wife doesnt like at all.湯姆每天喝大量的酒,這是他太太很不喜歡的。3)which引導的定語從句一般放在主句后,as引導的定語從句放在主句前后均可。As everybody knows, Chongqing is a very beautiful city.人人都知道重慶是一個美麗的城市。4) 當as 在定語
26、從句中作主語時,后面常接下列句型:as is know, as is said, as in reported, as is announced等As is known to all, Mr. Wang is a good teacher.眾所周知,王老師是一位好老師。5) as引導的定語從句要譯為“像。一樣”,而which引導的非限定性定語從句要譯為兩個并列句。As we all expected, he succeeded in passing the important exam.像我們期待的那樣,他成功地通過了那個重要的考試。The sun, which rises from the
