1、Lesson 2 Thanksgiving DayPeriod 1【教學(xué)目標(biāo)】1學(xué)生通過對與感恩節(jié)相關(guān)單詞的學(xué)習(xí),了解節(jié)日的特點(diǎn).2掌握the的特指用法.3通過范例,了解英文地名的首字母應(yīng)大寫.4學(xué)習(xí)對話,熟悉電子郵件的基本格式,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的聽力及表達(dá)能力;能將中西方的節(jié)日文化進(jìn)行比較.5能夠熟練拼讀與字母組合“or / oor”,“al”, “au” 和“aw”相關(guān)的單詞,擴(kuò)大詞匯量.【教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)】1本課單詞的正確發(fā)音和拼讀.2熟練的使用the的特指用法.3能將中西方文化進(jìn)行比較.4掌握地名的寫法.【教學(xué)準(zhǔn)備】本課相關(guān)單詞卡片、市場或商店的掛圖、小詩掛圖,錄音機(jī)等.【課時(shí)安排】3課時(shí)【第一課時(shí)

2、】【教學(xué)過程】I師生常規(guī)問候.1值日生做duty report.2檢查、訂正上節(jié)課作業(yè).IIListen and practice.1引入新單詞.T: In the last lesson, which festival have we learned?Ps: Halloween.T: Good! In this lesson we are going to learn another important festivalThanksgiving Day. On this day, families always get together to have a rich dinner. Now,

3、 here is a market. (在黑板上貼一副市場圖,上面有fruit, cake, cheese, dairy, pumpkin, turkey, sweet potato, corn等) If we are going to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, what shall we buy?Ps:(如玉新單詞,可用中文)T: Good! Some of your choices are right. At first, we will buy this one. This is not chicken. It is very big and very po

4、pular in the USA .ItsPs:火雞.T: We call it turkey.Ps: Turkey.T: Then we buy this one. In Chinese it is calledPs:紅薯.: Yes. In English we call it sweet potato. What is potato?Ps:土豆.T: So the sweet potato is not a potato, clear?Ps: Yes.T: Good! Now read after me. Sweet potato.Ps:.T: Then we hoose this.Ps

5、: 玉米.T: Its corn.Ps: Corn.T: At last, we buy (指向pumpkin)Ps: Pumpkin.T: Yes. We make pumpkin pie. (出示pie的圖片)Pie.Ps: Pie.T: In Chinese we also call it.Ps:派.T: What other pie do you know?Ps: Apple pie, strawberry pie2鞏固新單詞.(1)教師隨意指圖畫,學(xué)生讀出單詞.(2)將全班分成幾個(gè)小組,給每個(gè)小組的第一名學(xué)生幾張卡片(34張,其中含23個(gè)新單詞),讓他們記住后告訴第二個(gè)人并一直傳下去

6、,最后一名學(xué)生站起來大聲說出單詞,同時(shí),由第一名學(xué)生出示卡片,看是否正確.IIIWork in pairs.1引入the 的特指用法.T:(在黑板上貼一張rooster的圖片)Boys and girls, whats this in English?Ps: This is a rooster. T; Yes, this is a rooster. (在圖片旁板書此句,突出“a”) Is the roostr big?Ps: No.T: The roostr is (板書,突出“the”)Ps: Small.同上,通過問答,板書“These are moon cakes.”,“ The moo

7、n cakes are round.”T: Boys and girls, pay attention to the two groups of sentences, we use “a” in the first sentences, use “the” in the second. Why? Can you guess?Ps: T: Yes. Youre so clever. 因?yàn)槲覀冊谇耙痪渲幸烟岬搅恕皉ooster”和“mooncake”,所以以后再提及,就用冠詞“the”,而不是“a”.I will should you two more pictures, please make

8、up sentences like this.(出示兩幅圖及對應(yīng)的形容詞,請兩名學(xué)生造句,提醒他們用“That is”,“Those are”然后全班復(fù)述)2練習(xí)the的特指用法.(1)將全班分為兩組,教師通過圖片和手勢來帶領(lǐng)兩組學(xué)生描述圖片,單詞的單、復(fù)數(shù)形式均要涉及.T: Now lets describe the pictures. Group one. (手指第一組第一幅圖).Group two. (手指第一組第二幅圖,然后第二組第一幅圖).Group one. (第二組第二幅圖)Good! How about this picture (fish)/Group one. ThisPs

(拿遠(yuǎn)一點(diǎn),用“That is ”)(2)在黑板上多貼幾張單詞卡片,請學(xué)生兩人一組描述.(3)將全班分成四個(gè)小組,每一小組選一名組長.由組長出示圖片,組員依照以上例子輪流說一句話描述圖片,每幅圖片只用兩句話,說錯(cuò)的同學(xué)由下一位糾正.在一分鐘內(nèi)描述圖片最多的小組獲勝.Learn to write.1請學(xué)生在黑板上寫幾個(gè)地名,其他學(xué)生判斷書寫是否正確.T: In the last lesson, we learned that we should use cap
