DamiánBlasiattheUniversityofZurich,Switzerland,hasfoundhowand
whythistrendarose.
Theydiscoveredthattheupperandlowerfrontteethofancienthuman
adultswerealigned(對齊),makingithardtoproducelabiodentals,which
areformedbytouchingthelowerliptotheupperteeth.Later,ourjaws
changedtoanoverbitestructure(結(jié)構(gòu)),makingiteasiertoproducesuch
sounds.
Theteamshowedthatthischangeinbitewasconnectedwiththe
developmentofagricultureintheNeolithicperiod.Foodbecameeasierto
chewatthispoint.Thejawbonedidn’thavetodoasmuchworkandso
didn’tgrowtobesolarge.
Analysesofalanguagedatabasealsoconfirmedthattherewasaglobal
