I

like

these

among

young

people

like

you

across

the

globe.That’s

why

when

my

and

I

travel

abroad,

we

don’t

just

visitpalaces

and

parliaments

and

meethewaidtsho_f_s_t_a_t_e_s

.

We

also

come

toschools

like

this

one

to

meet

with

students

like

you,

because

we

believe

thatrelationships

between

nations

aren’t

just

about

relationships

betweeng_o_v_e_r_n_m_e_n_t_s

or

leaders

--

they’re

about

relationships

between

people,particularly

young

people.

So

we

view

not

just

asan

educational

for

students,

but

also

as

a

vital

part

ofAmerica’s

foreign

policy.Through

the

wonders

of

modern

technology,

our

world

is

more

connected

thanever

before.

Ideas

can

cross

with

Companies

can

dobusiness

And

we

studying

abroad

isn’t

just

a

fun

to

spend

a

_se_m_e_s_t_e_r

;

it

is

quicklybecoming

the

key

to

success

in

our

global

economy.

Because

getting

ahead

in

today’sworkplaces

isn’t

just

about

getting

good

grades

or

test

in

school,

which

areimportant.

It’s

also

about

having

real

beyond

yourborders

–-

experience

with

languages,

cultures

and

s_o_c_i_e_tviersy

Or,

as

the

Chinese

saying

goes:

“It

is

better

to

t_r_a_v_elten

thousand

miles

thanto

read

ten

thousand

books.”But

let’s

be

clear,

studying

abroad

is

about

so

much

more

than

improving

your

own

future.

It’s

also

about

shaping

the

future

of

your

countriesand

of

the

world

we

all

share.

Because

when

And
