bydoingsth.意為“通過……(方法、途徑)做某事”by是個很常用的介詞(有時也用作副詞),在初中英語中的其他用法有以下幾種:

(1)意為“在……旁”、“靠近”。如:

It’stoohardtounderstandspokenEnglish.意為“聽懂英語口語太難了”。“too+形容詞/副詞+to+動詞原形”結構,意為“太……而不能……”,該句型用于肯定句,但表示否定的意義。Annie,I’malittlenervous.安妮,我有點緊張。

alittle可直接修飾不可數(shù)名詞、形容詞副詞比較級。

abit修飾名詞時其后須加of,即abitof,后接不可數(shù)名詞。?Idon'tlikemilk,soIjustdrankalittlejustnow.

我不喜歡牛奶,所以剛才只喝了一點點。

Thatdoesn’tsoundtoobad.那聽上去不算太糟糕。sound用作連系動詞,“聽起來”,其后常跟形容詞。英語中常用的連系動詞:
