Technologiesandprocesses

Advancementsinautomation,robotics,andnavigationtechnologieshavebeen

crucialforthedevelopmentofsatelliteservicing.Keytechnologiesinclude:

?Roboticarmsandmanipulators:Thesedevicesareusedforprecisetasks

suchasrepairingorupgradingsatellitecomponents,docking,andrefueling.

Limitations

Despiteitspotential,thesatelliteservicingmarketfacesseverallimitations:

?Economicviability:Thecostofservicingoperationsmustbejustifiedbythe

benefits—oftennotthecaseforLEOsatellites,forwhichlaunchingnewsatellites

ismoreeconomical.Forthisreason,itisexpectedthatstartupswillfirstservice
