22、 for his father and his grandfather. As a child, he was full of energy and always showed great intelligence. He had read an entire set of encyclopedias(百科全書)by the time he was nine. It was also the first software that was developed with the expectation that users should pay for the privilege of using it. With the success of BASIC, Gates decided that his future lay outside Harv
26、ard, so he left university and, together with Allen, formed a software company they named Microsoft.Their next project was called the Disk Operating System, or DOS. In 1980 IBM bought the rights to DOS, and today it is known worldwide as the main operating system for about 14 million computers. Gate
