3、discrimination against those with anxiety.This week,a tweet posted by a 15-year-old high school student declaring "Stop forcing students to present in front of the class and give them a choice not to" received more than 130,000 rewets and nearly half a million likes.In fact, being a high s
4、chooler nowadays is more stressful than ever.Studentsare burdened with extra hours of homework . They stay up every night till 1:00 a.m. finishing homework on their third Red Bull. Anxiety is increasing at a fasteraffectingrate than depression ( 抑郁)as the leading mental-health issueteenagers, a rece
5、nt study in the Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics found.These students want more options. They say that every student has unique strengths and that they should be allowed to present their work in ways that speak to those strengths. This might mean presenting alone in front of the te
6、acher, or choosing between several alternatives like producing a piece of art or an essay for private judgment instead of presenting their work orally.Educators have begun to take it seriously. They agree teachers should listen to students and hear their voices and respond to that. If students '
7、 feelings areignored, they might just walk away. However, not everyone is convinced. Some hold the view that pushing students out of comfort zonesis a big part of whatthey should do as some students are deathly afraid to do it.二、概寫步驟第一步:通讀理解全文,了解文章結構,明確各段落之間的邏輯關系,提取全文中心 詞(尤其是名t與動詞)。第二步:細讀原文,劃出各段的主題句
8、與關鍵詞,關鍵詞以動詞與名詞為主,涵蓋段 落全部要點與次要點。第三步:根據所劃內容,結合理解,重新組織語言。可用中文概括出段落大意,然后 用一句話翻譯出來。第四步:通讀修改。修改是一個重要的環(huán)節(jié),要考慮連接詞的使用;高級詞匯的替 換;句式的多樣;語法是否正確以及字數的多少。第五步:用自信衡水體抄到試卷上,力求清楚美觀。三、分段概括關鍵詞句已在原文標出,結合理解,用中文概括出一句話并譯成英文。?對中學生來說,做課堂報告被認為是一個培養(yǎng)自信、培養(yǎng)領導力以及諸如此類的 好方法。Making in-class presentations is considered as an excellent wa
