9、ned to perform the following functions:- maintain the inside temperature of NAB, and electrical building hot areas, within theprescribed limits for the operating equipment and/or normal plant operation,nel health and safety during- limit the airborne radioactivity level in the rooms, according to th
10、eir health physics classification, in order to facilitate access,- control the air transfer from areas of lesser potential contamination to areas of progressively higher potential contamination prior to exhaust,- reduce the concentration of radioactive contamination released to the environment,- mai
11、ntain the building pressure slightly below the atmospheric pressure to minimize any leakage of airborne radioactivity from the building during all modes of plant operation,- assure the necessary flow rate for the containment sweeping system (EBA) during reactor cold shutdown as well as its filtratio
12、n requirements,- remove the smoke from the NAB electrical rooms in case of fire,- maintain the inside temperature of DEG pumps and chillers rooms and ensure air exhaust in case of refrigerant leak.- maintain the inside temperature and provide a minimum air change rate of PTR tank rooms .2.2. Safety
13、FunctionThe nuclear auxiliary building ventilation is not a safety related system.During normal operation, the DVN system ventilates charging pump rooms. 14、SIGN3.1 Design bases and safety criteria3.1.1 Design basesThe DVN is a "once-through" all fresh air ventilation system (excepted DEG technical room subsystem). Room air flowrates are calculated by taking into account either the heat gains from equipment and lighting or the minimum air chan
15、ge rate.The DVN system operates continuously.During summer periods the air supply is cooled through cooling coils and, during winter periods, it is heated through heating coils .Two exhaust subsystems are provided: one, for non iodine contaminable rooms (called "normal exhaust") in which t
16、he air is filtered across HEPA filters, and one, for iodine contaminable rooms (called "iodine exhaust") in which the air is filtered across HEPA filters and iodine adsorbers as soon as the iodine concentration rate reaches a preset threshold.When the EBA system operates, the air from the
17、two reactor buildings as well as the air from the nuclear auxiliary building is exhausted either through the HEPA filters alone or the HEPA filters and iodine adsorbers depending on the iodine concentration rate, prior to discharge to the environment via the stack.A smoke removal subsystem is provid
