表示“除…

以外，（還，也）”，相當(dāng)于inadditionto.

BesidesEnglish,theyalsostudymathsandchemistry除了英語以外，他們還學(xué)習(xí)數(shù)學(xué)和化學(xué)。

注意:

不要將besides和beside混淆，beside是“在…旁邊”的意思。except

與exceptfor區(qū)別：

exceptfor

也表示“除…

以外”，except

連用的整體詞和except

所跟的詞常常是同類的，是指整體除去一部份;

連用的整體詞與exceptfor

當(dāng)說話人認(rèn)為情況是不真實(shí)的或極少有可能發(fā)生或存在的情況時(shí)。從句虛擬語氣動(dòng)詞時(shí)態(tài)的形式如下：

（1）如果從句表示與現(xiàn)在事實(shí)相反，謂語動(dòng)詞用一般過去時(shí)。如：

（2）從句表示與過去事實(shí)相反，謂語動(dòng)詞用“had＋過去分詞”。如：

（3）從句表示與將來事實(shí)相反，謂語動(dòng)詞用“would／could／might＋動(dòng)詞原形”。如：

前半部分過去完成時(shí)，后半部分一般過去式。用法同nosooner...thanhardlyhadsbdone(hardly在句首,

要倒裝)HardlyhadIfinishedeatingwhenhecamein.

我剛吃完他就進(jìn)來了。“吃完飯”動(dòng)作在前，“進(jìn)來”動(dòng)作在后。havetimetodosth:
