1、Unit 5Travelling abroad教材分析和教材重組本單元的中心話題是“出國旅游”,課文始終圍繞這一主題展開。旨在通過單元教學,使學生了解在國外旅行或學習時可能會遇到的一些問題,并學會怎樣去解決問題。要求學生學會表達和支持個人觀點,能用所學的有關出國旅游的詞匯描述在國外居住生活的情況,在國外旅游時能根據所給的信息選擇恰當的旅游線路。語法方面要求學生會正確使用非限制性定語從句。課時一:Warming Up and Reading Task“熱身”(Warming Up)部分設計了四個討論題目,幫助學生在大腦中形成有關國外旅游的信息,讓學生討論在國外旅行會遇到什么問題,并且討論該如何來
2、解決這些問題。這樣就自然過渡到Reading Task (Page 82)四個年輕人在國外旅游遇到問題的經歷。課時二:Reading“讀前”(Prereading)部分設計了兩個問題,第一個問題要求采用與同學討論交流的方式談論在國外學習的利與弊,激發(fā)同學們的學習興趣;第二個問題要求學生預測閱讀課文中的主人公在英國學習可能遇到的困難和英國學校學習與中國學校學習的不同?!伴喿x”(Reading)部分介紹了主人公謝蕾第一次去國外求學進預科班時所面臨的問題,以及房東和導師對她的幫助,要求學生明白國外學習的利與弊,培養(yǎng)正視困難、迎接挑戰(zhàn)的信心。課時三:Grammar (語法復習課)本單元的語法重點是復習
3、非限制性定語從句(Nonrestrictive Attributive Clause)。學生已經學過這個語法點,所以在這節(jié)課中,首先對非限制性定語從句的特征、關系詞做一個簡要回顧,然后通過多種形式的練習,如填寫關系詞、造句和改錯等,使學生逐步掌握非限制性定語從句的用法。這些教學環(huán)節(jié),如開始部分的欣賞范文、找出好句的活動和結束部分的寫作練習,都充分體現(xiàn)了在語境中學習語法、在語境中運用語法的教學原則。課時四:Listening(聽力課)這節(jié)聽力課把Using Language中的Listening和Workbook中的Listening Task整合到一起,訓練學生在聽力前預測及在聽的過程中注意細
4、節(jié)信息的能力。課時五:Using Language:Reading and Speaking(綜合運用課)這節(jié)語言綜合運用課把本單元的第二篇文章和口語練習組合到一起。文章“秘魯旅游” 和地圖的呈現(xiàn),有利于培養(yǎng)學生的觀察能力與實踐能力;要求學生針對旅游路線挑選自己喜歡的路線進行介紹和推薦,這聯(lián)系了生活實踐,題目新穎,具有開放性。課后的寫作練習既涉及該話題,又強調語言的實用性和交際性。Period 1Warming Up,Prereading,Reading and Comprehending三維目標設計Knowledge and skills1To know the meanings of th

8、glish by describing the activities.By reading a passage,students can have a better understanding of what is a healthy life.2During Prereading the teacher can go around the classroom and discuss the questions with several students.This discussion should be studentcentered and help students understand
9、 the harm of smoking.The teacher should lead the students to look at the title and layout of the two sections in the reading passage and try to find out the main idea of the text by skimming.3While doing Reading and Comprehending,the teacher may first ask the students to read the text quickly to get
10、 the general idea of each paragraph.After reading the passage,students are encouraged to answer some questions and study the organization of the text.4To consolidate the contents of the reading passage,the students should be required to discuss some questions about the text at the end of the class.E
