POSITIONReportingtoDirectorResearchandDevelopment,thispositioninterfaceswiththeengineeringtogainknowledgeofpresentandfuturetheinventions,preparingthesubmissionstotheandorInternationalPatentOffice(s),thenbetrackingandmanagingthesubmissionsrightthroughtoESSENTIALDUTIESANDForyearsHengAnhasbeenastrongneedtocoordinatepatentdevelopmentandstrategyfromthecorporateleveltoprotectvaluablepatentassets,aswellaspotentiallypatentableideasandinventions,acrossallofthedivisions.Suchacoordinatedapproachshouldresultinsubstantialincreasedrevenuesforthe ,whetherthroughapositive eflowfromlicensefees,savingsoflicensefeespaidouttootherpatentholders,ortheavoidanceofdamagesininfringementsuits.ThePatentManagerwillsupportandassistallmembersoftheInlectualProperty(IP)Teamasnecessaryandappropriate,underthedirectionoftheR&FDirector,includingwithoutEstablishinitiativesandprogramsfordeveloandpatentingpatentablesubjectmatterthroughouttheDevelopandimplementstrategiesforlicensing,cross-licensingandprotectingEvaluatethird-partypatentsforpossiblelicensingorinvestment;andassistin positionsonpatentissues.Assistinandcoordinatetheprosecutionofpatentapplicationsandtheprotectionandlicensingofpatents,andevaluateandcoordinatedefensesagainstpatentclaims.WorkingwithandguidingseniormanagementandcounselofkeybusinessdivisionsthroughouttheExaminestheinventionsofthedepartmenttoensurethesatisfactionofthe"novelty"and"unobviousness"requirementsofthepatentlaws. ationofthedepartment'sinnovativeactivities,evaluationofpatentabilityandcommercialpotentialsandwritingofthepatentspecificationwithappropriatesketchesandfulldrawingstocomplywiththefulldisclosurerules.Providingperiodicaltrainingtoengineersinthedepartmentintheuseandkeeofadetailedinventor'snotebookandtheidentificationandsystematicdevelopmentofpatentableideasInterfacewiththeengineeringtogainknowledgeofpresentandfuturetheinventions,preparingthesubmissionstothePatentOffice,thenbetrackingandmanagingthesubmissionsrightthroughtocompletion.Participateeffectivelyasmemberofateamsupportingthedeliveryofworldclassinlectualpropertylegalservices;Draft,fileandprosecutetrademark/patentapplicationsandinstructandmanagethefilingofforeignapplications;ReviewOfficialGazetteonaregularbasisforoppositionandcancellationConductand yzetrademark/patentclearancesearchresults(basedononlineandexternalfullsearchreports);Assistinconductingtrademark/patentportfolioreviewsandidentifyneedsforadditionalprotection;Asappropriate,support,instructand/ormanagethefilingoftrademark/patentoppositionandcancellationactionsworldwideforcertainbrands;Draftandassembledeclarations,affidavitsandothersupportingevidenceintrademark/patentoppositionandcancellationactionsandIPlitigation;Handlecopyright,patent,
