NO.: 0Page 5 of 6RULE FOR DESIGN CONTROLThis rule is supplemental to QC Manual for design control.1. Authority and Responsibility1.1 The Manager of Des

2、ign Section1.1.1 The Manager of Design Section shall be responsible for administrating the design ofCode items and assuring that all design services done by others in accordance with the Code requirements.1.1.2 The Manager of Design Section shall be responsible for accepting the Customer'sSpecif

3、ication including drawings and other reference documents.1.1.3 When the Customer and /or other organizations request to submit the documents for their review and approval, the Manager of Design Section shall review all design documents that will be supplied to the customer to assure his requirements

4、 and provide the Document Transmittal Card (List NO. QCP-01-2).1.1.4 He shall be responsible for reviewing drawings, calculation sheet, material requisition, and Purchase specification prepared by the Design Engineer, to assure the compliance with current Code. Addenda and Customer's specificati

5、on.1.1.5 When proof test is necessary, he shall be responsible for implementing the test and provide the test report.1.2 The Design Engineers1.2.1 The Design Engineers shall be responsible for preparing drawings and calculation sheet of the Code items.1.2.2 The design engineers shall review the Cust

6、omer Specifications to verify that the Specification contains requirements and data in such detail as to constitute an adequate basis for selecting materials, designing, fabricating, testing and inspecting the Code Items, and that the Specification conforms to the requirements of the Code.1.2.3 The

7、Design Engineers will take part in proof test.1.2.4 The Design Engineers shall be responsible for revising the design documents in accordance with para. 4 of this rule.2. Design Process Control2.1 Design ProcessThe design process of pressure vessel is divided into two stages, the preliminary design

8、stage and the construction drawing design stage. The preliminary design means the basic design prepared for bidding or quoting purpose. For the cause of management, the quoting drawing shall be reviewed by the Design Section Manager and approved by the General Engineer. The routine procedure for pre

9、paration, review and approval of the construction drawing design shall conform to the requirements of the QC Manual.2.2 The Work of Respective Stage2.2.1 In the preliminary design, a comparison of technique and economy shall be made to indicate that the technology is advanced, the expense is reasona

10、ble, safety is ensured, and the design is in compliance with the Code requirements.WPECDOC. NO.: QCDP-01REV. NO.: 0Page 4 of 62.2.2 The construction-drawing design shall conform to the requirements of the ASME Code and the Customer's Specification.2.3 Design QualityThe designers shall implement

11、the authority and responsibility prescribed in para.1 above for acquiring good quality of design.3. Design Documents Control3.1 The design documents include the Customer's Specification, drawings and calculation sheet the Material Requisition including Purchase Specification, the Design Revision

12、 Notice and proof test report etc.3.2 The documents prepared by Design Section shall be registered and numbered by the Document Keeper of File Section.3.3 The documents received from other factories, such as the Customer's Specification shall be registered by the Document Keeper, and shall be is

13、sued to the concerned personnel by the Design Section Manager.3.4 The assignee of any document shall be registered in the Document List. The obsolete documents shall be handled in accordance with the provision of the QC Manual. Those documents without covered in the QC Manual shall be decided by the

14、 Design Section Manager.4. Revision of Design Document4.1 Responsibility and Procedure4.1.1 If a design document has to be revised during fabrication period, the original designer shallWPECDOC. 15、proval for revision shall be the same as the original.4.1.2 The original designer shall fill the Design Revision Column of the design document.4.1.3 The retained drawings and the drawings being used for manufacturing shall be revised and/or replaced by the latest drawings.4.1.4 The first drafting sh

16、all be revised.4.2 Methods of Revision4.2.1 The size, letter or figure to be revised shall be marked out by a thin line. The part marked out shall be visible for showing the content before revision. Then, the new size or letter or figure shall be made.4.2.2 The revision mark shall be shown near the

17、revision position. A thin line shall be drawn from the triangle of the revision mark to the letter or figure marked out, the revision times shall be written on the triangle with number. The same revision mark shall be used for the revision of parts in the same time.4.2.3 When revised, a revision blo

18、ck shall be made out on the assembly drawing.
